Soakum Festival

While Soakum events and activities can vary from year to year, here is a sampling of what one might expect:

• Heritage arts & crafts, quilts, pottery, ceramics, and other special gifts
• Demonstrations of blacksmithing, moonshine still, apple press, butter churn, ice cream, spinning, weaving, hat making, shoe making, muzzleloading, wagon encampment, and sheep herding
• Horsedrawn wagon rides
• Petting zoo, puppets, school marm, story hour, organ grinder and horseshoe pitch
• Live music including fiddling contest
• Sunday church service with circuit riding preacher
