The Big Muskie - World's Largest Dragline

Believe it or not, you are now inside the cab of Big Muskie! Look above and you can see an inscription by Eddie Bailey, who was one of Big Muskie's operators, carved after digging its last pit of coal. The inscription reads, "EDDIE BAILEY, DUG LAST PIT OF COAL, JAN 31, 1991." Click here or on the picture for a larger view.

Another inscription on the cab walls of Big Muskie can be seen below depicting when the machine was last parked. It says, "PARKED, 2:30 P.M., MARCH 1, 1991, EDDIE BAILEY, CLYDE MARION, TOM FOUSS, DAVE BAILEY." Click here or on the picture for a larger view.
