BIBLE STUDY:

The only way to be saved is through Faith and Belief in Jesus Christ and His finished work at the Cross.
John 14:6- I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes unto the Father, but by Me.

Since the fall of Adam we are all born with a "sin nature".
Romans 3:23- For all have sinned, and come short of the Glory of God.

Jesus told Nicodemus you must be born again. Sad to say, a lot of church goers don't know this. The church can't save us. Works can't save us. Jesus is the only way.
John 3:3- Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.

Being born again simply means to ask God to forgive us and then believing on Jesus and walking daily with Faith in what He did at the Cross to pay the penalty for our sins. Being born again is a Spiritual Birth, the first being our physical birth.

Once saved, the only way we can live a victoriuos life is our continued Belief and Focus on Jesus and what He did at the Cross. The same way we came in as a new born again believer is the same way we continue and take up our cross daily and follow Him. This allows the Holy Spirit to work on our behalf, without which we can do nothing. Jesus Christ is the way. The Cross is the means. Our will-power and works is no match for the powers of satan. Our will-power cannot deliver us from bondage of any sin no matter what that sin is and works cannot earn us Salvation. It is a Free Gift.
Romans 8:2- For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the Law of Sin and Death.
These are the two most powerful Laws in the universe. We and our works are no match for the Law of Sin and Death, which was given to point out sin and man's inadequate state. The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus allows us to overcome with all the privileges of Christ as we are baptized into His death, burial and resurrected with Him into newness of life, which is the New Covenant.
