Heritage Park

Heritage Park, located on Noble County Fairgrounds, is maintained
by the Noble County Historical Society. It features transplanted
and restored one-room schoolhouse, church, log cabin, and
covered bridge, which are open to the public throughout the
Noble County Fair. The fair is held each year the week before
Labor Day. Group tours can be arranged by contacting Myrtle
Ake at (740) 732-2263. Herritage Park is also the site of
the annual Soakum Festival, held the last Saturday weekend
of September, depicting frontier life in the 1800's. A public
recreation complex at the fairgrounds includes the Happy Time
swimming pool; football field, baseball and softball fields;
basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts; and horseshoe area,
all lighted. Also included are a lighted, 1/2 mile race track
for harness horse racing; picnic areas and shelters; a junior
fair building; covered grandstand; and the Noble County Community
Center.

The above picture of Heritage Park shows access through its
covered bridge and then leading up to the log cabin and Bethel
Church. Below see individual shots of Bethel Church and Crooked
Tree one-room schoolhouse.
