We were there... Can you and your church help?
Just one of many children of Appalachian families who were
given Christmas toys through H.A.R.P.
Teaching young people to volunteer and serve. One of our favorite photos. Notice the concentration in the way they even hold the hammers.
He came to Caldwell with his dad all the way from their farm in Wisconsin to build a wheelchair ramp. H.A.R.P. groups build wheelchair ramps for the elderly, disabled and terminally ill. Your church can build or support financially.
Wheelchair ramp for double amputee way back in the hills outside of Fredericksdale, OH.
Wheelchair ramp for cancer patient and husband in little town of Carlisle, OH. Because of medical bills and no one else to help they had been waiting for over a year. You can help with needs like theirs.
Early stages of a wheelchair ramp in East Union, OH. A little more about the man sitting on the bags of sacrete. Hospice had been called in for his wife who was terminally ill. His health was also failing, as he needed heart surgery, but too weak to withstand the surgery. Medical bills were high, but so was their spirit. While we blessed them with a new ramp, they blessed us with their testimonies during a week of sharing about God's blessings in all of our lives.
Wheelchair ramp being constructed for retired minister in Caldwell, OH who was able to return home after rehabilitation at a local nursing facility. Mission teams also painted their whole house.
Wheelchair ramp being constructed near Ava, OH. Both mom and daughter at this home are confined to wheelchairs and were unable to come outside without considerable help. They now have access to the outside, as well as their new deck overlooking the beautiful valley where they live.
School supplies, furniture, household appliances and Christmas gifts are some of the ways H.A.R.P. helped this young mom and her two daughters.
